EmpowerPads is our reusable pad making and distribution program. Girls living and working at Marianne Foundation sew the EmpowerPads. The pads are then sold or donated to various groups in the community including local primary and secondary schools. We try to conduct a Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) and Menstrual Health Management (MHM) sensitization at every EmpowerPad distribution event. Our main beneficiaries are school-aged girls who have limited access to menstrual products.
Over 50 runners, over 5 community partners, 1 run to celebrate International Women's Day and raise money and awareness about menstruation stigma!
Thank you to Eiraka Radio, Kibubura Girls School, Ebenezer Clinic, Kagiira Skills Development Center, Rutehenda Foundation and many more partners here in Ibanda for helping us to organize this marathon. Thank you to our international friends and donors for your support!
